Five Ways to Get Out of Your Comfort Zone This Summer!

June 29, 2018 9:25 pm Published by Leave your thoughts

Many people make it their New Year’s resolution to try to better themselves in the coming year. They do things like start going to the gym, stop smoking, eat healthier or even just try new things every once in a while. Unfortunately, those resolutions often fall by the wayside after a couple of months (or even a few weeks).

Now that summer is here, and 2018 is halfway over, we think it’s time to make a new resolution: break out of your comfort zone! Here are a couple of things you can try this summer that’ll push your comfort limits, and make you feel like a brand new person.

Take a class and learn something new

Learning new things shouldn’t stop when you receive your diploma! Education is important throughout your life. Learning a new skill or opening your eyes to a whole new world is a fantastic experience. There are tons of free classes online and at local community centers. You can learn everything from new computer skills to building structures with teepee poles in Utah!

Try skydiving

Jumping from a plane thousands of feet up in the air may not sound like everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s just what the doctor ordered if you need an adrenaline rush! There’s nothing that compares the feeling you get while plummeting back towards the Earth. Throw caution to the wind and book your skydiving trip today!

Go on a solo adventure

Though traveling with someone else is always fun, it can be difficult to find another person to go along with you on all of your adventures. If you catch the travel bug, feel free to book a solo ticket to your favorite destination. There’s nothing wrong with visiting a new place all by yourself! In fact, being alone in a new city pushes you way out of your comfort zone and forces you to make new friends and try new things.

Attend a party alone

Can’t afford to travel halfway across the globe by yourself? That’s okay! You can also get out of your comfort zone without leaving your hometown. Try going to a party or event all by yourself. You may feel uncomfortable at first, but you’re bound to meet some new friends while you’re there. Who knows, you might even meet your future significant other at that random party!

Start and finish a project

Right now, decide on something you’d like to accomplish this summer. It could be anything from simply reorganizing your garage to starting a DIY construction project. Over the next few days, start a plan of action regarding how you’re going to finish that project. Should you require any unique construction materials, stop by Huberwoods. We carry everything you need to finish your summer project, including teepee poles in Utah, and our friendly staff members are available to answer any questions you may have.

Don’t let the summer pass you by. Get out there and help yourself break out of your comfort zone today!
